Program Director, Advanced Yoga Training

Diane Speer, Program Director of Adavanced Yoga StudyDiane began studying in various yoga, meditation and natural healing arts traditions in 1989 after leaving the executive business world to become a mother. Her training has spanned the globe and includes working with diverse Yogic Tradition Swamis, masters and senior teachers in Himalayan, Kripalau, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda and Vinyasa yoga styles. She also has trained in the Native American healing traditions, Buddhist meditation and healing practices, Vedic meditation traditions and energy healing traditions including Reike and the South American Casa tradition. In 2006 she received a Buddhist Empowerment from the Dali Lama.

Diane is a 600hr certified teacher trainer in the Himalayan Tradition of Yoga and Meditation, a CYT600/ERYT200 with Yoga Alliance and an IAYT Yoga Therapist. She holds yoga certifications at the highest level recognized globally and has specialized training and experience teaching Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Adaptive Yoga for Special Populations. She has developed an integrative 200-hour professional certification for yoga teachers, and CEU courses for health care professionals and caretakers emphasizing adaptive gentle yoga, meditation, self-care and self-healing methods and techniques.

Her workshops and seminars incorporate a variety of evidence-based information along with healing modalities including Reike, Yoga Therapy, Aromatherapy, and various self-inquiry and Meditation techniques. She is able to articulate and transmit the yogic and meditational teachings in ways that stimulate and cultivate innate awareness and experiential knowledge while participants explore, discover and progress within their own unique dispositions and capacities.

Having a lifelong inspiration to help others, Diane is devoted to sharing the healing and transformational benefits of Yoga and Meditation as a path to achieve life purpose, enhanced health and authentic peace and joy in life. Diane regularly presents local and international trainings, classes, workshops, retreats and seminars within communities, educational institutions, corporate settings, medical centers, conferences and privately. She is a regular presenter through many organizations including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hospice, Regional Yoga Conferences, AARP, the University of Medicine and Dentistry NJ, Rutgers University, the Kessler Foundation, the US Army and the National Institute of Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
